I admired this stamp on one of her projects and she was so

sweet to send me an extra set she had all the way from the UK

I will be using it a lot in the next few weeks I love this set

and treasure it since it came from such a kind and lovely friend

Welcome to the first Cardz TV challenge

I am so excited, and  honored to be on this team

The first challenge is called  

"Just My Style"

You have until midnight EST, Sunday, November 20th 

Here is my Card

My Little Tom Turkey has his ticket 

ready for Thanksgiving dinner

He is hoping he can be a guest

instead of the main course

 

It's a Z fold card with my favorite kraft card stock

I added layers of PTI ripe avocado to the front panels 

embossed with CuttleBug Perfectly Paisley folder

inked the edges with Tim Holtz vintage photo

This is an awesome set great for everyday and Holidays 

I have so many ideas for this set

on the inside flap is pattern paper from My Minds Eye

I also added a strip of PTI ink vintage cream to add

The Challenge at

is to use a Thanksgiving Sentiment

I made this little matchbox

using the Blank Cameo

from the Cameo collection and

filled it in with a little stamp

inked it up to give it a vintage feel

Some K&Company paper a little ribbon, lace pearls and

a corner from Straight from the Nest

added some papers to the box using one of my spellbinders dies

going to give one to everyone Thanksgiving day and have them

write down what they are thankful for

then have my niece read them after dinner

she love to things like that..

Have had this wreath stamp forever has a worn date

on it 2000 but no name

stamped it with versa mark the use Christmas tree embossing powder

colored in the bows with a red copic marker

then went over that with some glossy accents

inked the wreath with Jenni Bolin sticky candy ink

hope I can explain the edging on this card

your size will vary depending on which spellbinder die you have

cut your card stock just wide enough to fit into your spellbinder die

line it up so just the edge is under the one end of the die

for the mat use the next smaller size than the card

think this gives a great edge on the card

A Very Happy Monday

Normally I don't like Mondays after spending time in my craftroom on the weekends

going back to work Monday morning and sitting in my cube isn't fun at all...

but this morning I woke up as normal got my cup of coffee turned on the tv for the weather

grabbed my laptop for my email and saw an email from Mary at

 CARDZTV

I have been a fan of hers for so long and when I saw she was having a design team call

I thought okay just send the email take a chance.

I did appreciate that I didn't have to post it on my blog that I was trying out only to not make it....

Like trying out for cheerleading and not being chosen

so I opened the email thinking I would maybe see a name or two I knew and had to read the email

a few times because MY name was in there....

Felt like Christmas morning to me

Mary said it was okay to announce it on our blogs

but I had to wait until I saw it on her blog in case I was dreaming this morning...

Thank you Mary for this wonderful opportunity

Tried so hard to get a good picture of this card

the pictures do not do it justice.

and my camera batteries died

I used versa mark ink and embossing powder

on snowflakes that I stamped on the back ground this picture you can just get

a glimpse of some of them the background paper is actually

a very light blue

going to order a photo light tent tomorrow...

Bling Christmas Tree

I am going to do another card more like the one they did

I added some twine and some stickles to my card

I used glossy accents to adhere the buttons to a piece of DCWV

silver glitter paper

sentiment is from Papertrey ink

so trilled over the button on the top of the tree

very old button was either from my mom or grandmother

love that it reminds me of them....

Copy Cat Friday Challege

Hi Everyone sorry this picture was late

  got home late yesterday I was on my way to work Firday morning

and my cell phone rang it was my sister

she was in a car accident 3 weeks ago and has been struggling

with back and neck pain she was starting to feel better yesterday

and went to Physical Therapy and came home and started to feel worse again

she got up this morning after not sleeping well and tried to take a hot shower

she got out of the shower and passed out fell hit her head on the tile

 we spent the day going to the Doctor and ER  for a CAT scan

she is fine just all sore again and a little testy

didn't see George Cloony in the ER either but it was a day

away from work and a day helping my sister
