Winner and Let's Shell-Ebrate

Got a few new things this week
the set of the new mini
with
Cracked Pistachio,
Abandoned Coral,
Mermaid Lagoon, and
Fossilized Amber

Now I have to admit this background was a total
accident I had a little bit of leftover ink on my
mat and just laid a piece of water color paper over
it to use it up didn't think it would be much of
anything but I loved the way it ended up

also got
Party Posse from
Paper Smooches
have a few cards in the works using this set
added a mini pom pom to the party hat
and a few drops of glossy accents
glossy accents on the shell, hat,
and toenails.
think this card would be great
for a guy or a girl and could
be use for a variety of occasions

The yellow and the blue are a
wonderful striking combination
The butterfly is so pretty. Love that
you are going to use it to thank your
neighbor for vegetables they brought
over to you. I am sure they will appreciate
receiving this handmade beauty.

Winner and Happy Birthday

this is the birthday card
 I gave my friend yesterday
Now I have to say right off the bat I completely lift
this card from
I did change it slightly I used black paper and clear
embossing powder on the dies and
the sentiment is from
to make this card I started with
a sheet of Tim Holtz watercolor paper
used stormy ocean on the top left,
center crushed olive, and bottom left
ripe raspberry
the secret to this card is
from

I cut this leaf and top left flower
out of black card stock
inked with versa mark
and clear glitter embossing powder
next thanking the same dies I cut them
out of some white card stock
this piece is attached to
a piece of acetate
this creates a base to attach
the die cuts
attached a black mat then
to an A2 white card base
loved the design so much
made a second card with
some sequins and a bow...

Winner of the Saturday July 4th
show it off Saturday Linky Party

This is a beautiful watercolor background
for these adorable bugs.  The white die cuts
behind the bugs really makes them pop.
The embossed tag is the perfect place
for the sentiment. The inside of the card
is just as pretty.

Craftroom

Carri over at
is having a
show us your craftroom challenge
she is so very talented and if you don't have any
of her skittles boy are you missing out on the
most fabulous colors always the perfect
finishing touch to any card, scrapbook page
or crafting project....
I will apologize here for the length of this post
but I wanted to share pictures of my craftroom
for a long time and luckily I had just cleaned it so
perfect time to take photos
this room was one of my daughter bed rooms she
had painted the squares to match a quilt my mom
had made her I love the colors so I left them
on one wall
and the fabulous cranberry chair was my
other daughter college chair she left behind
to the left when you walk in my door a small dresser I got
at Walmart this was just going to be temporary but it really works
so until I find something I like better it will stay
both my cutting machines fit perfectly on it
was so happy to find the plastic three drawer bins
at Target the fit perfectly between the shelf and the wall
boy do they hold and organize a ton of stuff

My Husband made the shelf over the window
the black fabric baskets hold cards, ribbon, tags and other materials
got these at Target I really like them

I have my sizzix Texture Boutique for embossing
and below on the self in one of the cubes I keep my
embossing folders got this fabric basket at Michaels
I the bin on the shelf  I keep small pieces of solid card stock
shorted in roy g biv order
this works great for when I need to die cut
don't have to rummage for paper or waste a full sheet
In the cubes on the right side of my desk on the top shelf  on the right
I store my twine in the bin on the left I keep my pearls, gems and sequins
have my stamps in the other basket in Avery Elle Pockets

I keep the magnet platform on my bigkick
I find this to be big time saver
have my dies in a bin in cd holders and Avery Elle pockets

the rolling stand under my desk is one of the
first big purchase I made when I started
papercrafting was perfect before I had
a room and so many supplies kept everything
on it could easily wheel in in and out of
a closet when I wanted to craft
 I  got it at scrapbook.com
I did check add don't thini it's available any longer
they do have the stackable trays

they don't have the drawers any longer either
so wish I had gotten more of these they came
with dividers and so awesome for organizing

if you see anything and want to know more about it
just leave a comment and I will get back to you

Have a happy and safe 4th

Karen
