Wednesday what I know

what I know is that

Necessity is the mother of invention
and a crafter with an idea and some supplies can do remarkable things

In my recent obsession to organize my craft room
I knew I had to come up with a better way to store my stamp pads
I have searched online and found a few but with shipping charges they were just more than
I wanted to spend.
So with a little though a few pre-cut boards and voilà
need one more board have room for one more shelf
and I am going to label the inks so I can see which one is where.
left little space for my reinkers
I may section off the whole top shelf and put my stickles there
I got boards 2' by 4" wide at Lowes  cut one of these in half for the sides
used some wood glue and some small nails to form a box
at Ac Moore I got a piece of 2'x1" balsa wood and cut into 4 inch sections
and used these to space the shelves as I nailed them at the top and bottom
I also got a few 2' by 3" boards and put nailed them from the top down so
the shelves are sort of staggered hope that makes sense

Really proud of myself on this one  :)

  1. "Really proud of myself" and so you should be. As you say when we want something and we can't get it why not make it. I made a bow maker the other day cost me $2 and a bit of hubbys time to drill:-) TFS

  5. Impressive! I wish I had more space to get organized like this. My stamps are in a big bucket and I have to search for the color I want...not fun! Enjoy your new storage system.
