Button Button who's got the Button

May be showing my age a little not sure if anyone remembers that game
my brothers and I played it on our staircase when we were little

anyway
I was inspired by a post one of my best blogging buddies
Carri at
her post today was how she sorted her buttons
by color which is how I do mine
but I use Lock Up containers for storage

Love these containers the first few I got were a Joanns
which is a little bit of a drive for me
then I found more at Staples which is closer
and I know you can also get these on Amazon.com
the come in 1.5, 6, 8 and 12 oz sizes

what I like most about these if I need a button I can
get my finger in these to push the buttons around and get just the right one
without having to dump them on the table.

the 1.5 ounce size are perfect for brads and eyelets

and they look cute on my shelf

Have a great night everyone!

  1. Looks like a candy store with the great containers. And yes, I do know the game "Button, Button." Also played jacks when growing up which I do not think is played anymore.

  2. Love all your buttons Karen!! The only reason I had to sort mine was because I scored a ton on clearance and had no place to hide them! But I am so glad I did now because I have been using them more! I just recently found the same lock containers and have been storing my flowers in them! I love organizing my stuff seems like I do more of that than crafting! Have a great week! I will be hiking the Grand Canyon and won't be back until next week!

  10. Cute, cute, cute! Now tell me how to play the game so I can play it with my Daisy Girl Scouts to keep them occupied! Nothing like trying to keep nine 5 & 6 year olds busy! This sounds like an easy game!
