My Middle daughter has been after me since Christmas
to post the recipe for this old family favorite cake she wants
to pinned it says she couldn't find the recipe
I could have just written it down and given it to her
but then that is so
OLD FASHIONED!
this cake will feed a large crowd and so yummy
in the summer with strawberries and whipped cream
nothing diet or low fat about it just
old fashioned good
3 sticks of butter
3 cups sugar
5 large eggs
3 cups of flour
3/4 cup 7up
this the one place diet soda will work but with all the butter and sugar
won't really help ;)
2 tablespoons lemon extract
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in flour; beat in lemon extract and 7Up.
Pour batter into well greased and floured 12 cup bundt pan
Bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes to an hour and 25 minutes
cool slice enjoy so yummy with a cup of coffee on a Sunday Morning
Have a great night...
Karen
