I have taken an online class a couple Summers ago. I felt for the price it was not worth it. The price was too high. I know there are some online classes going on now that just started and I have seen some of the creations posted and can figure how they were made without the instructions so I can do them without having to take the class. I do know that Tim Holtz's online classes as well as his in person classes are wonderful. I have been fortunate to take 2 of Tim Holtz's classes when he came to Central TX. I have learned alot from Tim when he gives step by step instruction on his Tags that you do not have to pay to see on his blog. I feel that the creativity & inspiration that is available on the blog without having to pay by visiting blogs does not warrant paying for an online class. Look forward to others opinions. I took the online stencil class last year and loved it. The projects were awesome and I loved the techniques they shared. But even after taking it, I haven't used my stencils very much. But the price wasn't too bad so I do think it was worth it. Have a great day :)
Well I'm lucky enough to have won a seat in the Stretch Your Dies class that's going on now and I love it! But I keep asking myself if it would have been worth it to pay for it - not sure yet - I'm just half-way through. I follow Jennifer and Kristina so I'm a big fan of theirs already! I will tell you - I really look forward to it each day. The videos are very professional and the cards are gorgeous. Just wish I had more time to put the techniques into practice right away. I've done one technique so far that I will post over the weekend. The class is teaching me to look at my dies in a whole new light - and I like that! I know I will want to take more of these classes in the future - but will I be able to afford it? Not likely. No income!
I like on line classes I have taken a quite a few. My faves are the ones where they give prizes away. I won twice and it made up for the cost of the class. The people interact and they are fun. I prefer a physical class, because I like being with people and seeing in person what they create also. If you are on the fence, try it. Have a great weekend my friend.
