Lazy Days of SUMMER

Fun Friday "Day at the Beach" Challenge

My Favorite thing to do during the summer is to
spend a day at the beach

this is going to be our last challenge for a while
we are all taking a much need vacation ourselves

a match made in heaven
a layer of black a layer of vintage cream
red from Co ordinations
embossed with distressed stripes folder
sanded and inked with Tim Holtz
fired brick
think it looks like the side of a barn

Happy Thanksgiving CARDZTV challenge #1

Welcome to the first Cardz TV challenge
I am so excited, and  honored to be on this team
The first challenge is called  
"Just My Style"
You have until midnight EST, Sunday, November 20th 

Here is my Card
My Little Tom Turkey has his ticket 
ready for Thanksgiving dinner
He is hoping he can be a guest
instead of the main course
It's a Z fold card with my favorite kraft card stock
I added layers of PTI ripe avocado to the front panels 
embossed with CuttleBug Perfectly Paisley folder
inked the edges with Tim Holtz vintage photo
Used  
stamp set Ticket Talk
This is an awesome set great for everyday and Holidays 
I have so many ideas for this set

on the inside flap is pattern paper from My Minds Eye
I also added a strip of PTI ink vintage cream to add 
a handwritten message
Turkey from Create a Critter cut at 2.5 with paper from Basic Grey
a little twine and of course a Button...

we pulled all the papers from my scrap bin
the first mat is DCWV black currant
the next layer is PTI
sewn together on my machine with some pink thread
inked all the edges and put her
on an action wobble
use a fiskar border punch

Happy Retirement


 I have a friend that is retiring next month from work
Had this idea for a card turned out to be a perfect match
for a couple of challenges this week
Did this on my gypsy using Create a Critter
embossed the cloud and then put some blue stickles on it and
smeared them around
the bird is from Straight from the Nest
I did the saying on the computer
use blue and one cloud

Love how the blue paper looks like rain

I did the saying on the computer cut the circle at 1 1/2"
First I printed on regular paper then I line up the circle
put removable Adhesive and printed again
I think it worked out quite well
