Silent Night

week #44 Tags
The challenge we have this week is: Tags! You can interpret this in any way you like as long as there is a tag somewhere. Please keep in mind that all challenges are optional.
  Any Christmas/Winter/Holiday card will do.
A2 card edges rounded
pattern paper from K&Company
Snowflakes cut from Joys of the Season
the Tag is from Planitin Schoolbook
I just foam tape to put it on the card but made it
less sticky by putting it on a scrap piece of card stock
first then removing it this way the tag is usable for who ever
receives the card and there is a snowflake from the pattern paper so the card
will still look good.

Thinking of you

Did this card for a challenge over at
a blog that challenges you to dust off all the things you have
purchase stuck in a drawer and haven't used
I use Cord'nations card stock for the base a2 card
HAD to get this and it's been sitting in my pile of card stock
for a least 6 months which really isn't long in the scheme of my unused stash
next it it a mat from DCWV Citrus stack
then two patter papers from Basicgrey
next I used a stamp I have I am pretty sure I got at ACMoore when
they were having a 50% off sale it's marked f-2211 Santa Rosa 1999
really had to dust it off
I inked with black staz-on onto Bristol XL paper
it's an all purpose artist paper
I seem to have trouble stamping but with this paper I get good results
it's very thick and textured on one side
after stamping I colored with markers from Marvy
use a circle die from Spellbinders embossed leaving the die on
I inked the edges with Color Box Dune
put a dark brown Spellbinders scalloped circle behind
flower cut from Plantin Schoolbook
Thinking of you from Hero Arts

Cricut Cardz Challenge and Blog Candy

A big hello to everyone coming over from
Cricut Cardz Challenge
Perfect timing for this challenge. My Niece and my Mom are both avid readers. With a birthday and Mother's day coming these will make perfect gift tags and then bookmarks. I made these using Citrus stack from DCWV.  Joyce page 78 endcaps and Haley page 71 from Plantin Schoolbook at 2 inches. After gluing them together I used my YourStory to Laminate punched 3/8inch hole with a Crop-a-dile II. I had some left over yarns that worked perfectly on the tops...
Don't you just love it when a project comes together....
NOW FOR THE CANDY part of this post
1. become a follower
2. Leave a message on the post and a way for me to get in touch with you.
3. I will pick a winner next Wednesday by 9pm est using Random.org
4. The winner will recieve a Citrus Mat stack from DCWV and enough yarn to complete two bookmarks.
Good Luck to all

The winner is Brittany will get your candy out to you! Thanks for playing.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Dark green card stock cut 5.5 x 8.5 scored at 4.25. Lighter green card stock mat cut 5.25 x 4 run through
Cuttlebug A2 Embossing Folder, Tiny Mosaic Texture folder. I cut the pot from black card stock Doodlecharms page 89 at 3" and cut off the handle. The coins I cut from Plantin Schoolbook circle page 72 at 1", 3/4" and 1/2 inch I stamped them with a Studio G stamp I purchase last year at AC Moore. I use Stazon olive green ink. Pot of Gold is also from a Studio G kit I got last year and stamped with the olive green ink. I used Ranger Gold embossing powder on the "Gold" and attached it to the mat with This to That foam tabs. I like these because they are very Thick! The grass is also from Plantin Schoolbook page 69 cut twice once at 1 1/2inches the at 1" I cut the strips down to fit. I made the rainbow with white card stock and with a q-tip applied non-smear Pastels from The Stencil Collection.
